Ontario Government Announces Move to Step 3 of Re-Opening
The Ontario Government announced today that as of Friday, July 16, 2021, the province will enter Step 3 of its reopening plan – five days ahead of schedule.
Notably, the limit on indoor gatherings will increase to 25 people and outdoor gatherings will increase to 100 people. Indoor fitness facilities and other indoor recreational amenities will be allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity, with mandatory social distancing at all times and optional masking when working out. Condominiums must keep records of all persons who use any indoor facilities and amenities. Real estate open houses will also be permitted, with capacity limited to the number of people that can maintain a physical distance of two meters.
The full list of regulations can be found here.
It is important to note that restrictions such as masks and physical distancing are still needed as the Delta variant and other variants continue to pose a threat. Condominiums must continue to comply with the advice, recommendations, and instructions of their local public health officials.
